Application Developer - Devops Engineer

A DevOps engineer is an IT generalist who should have a wide-ranging knowledge of both development and operations, including coding, infrastructure management, system administration, and DevOps toolchains. DevOps engineers should also possess interpersonal skills since they work across company silos to create a more collaborative environment. DevOps engineers need to have an effective understanding of common system architecture, provisioning, and administration, but must also have experience with the traditional developer toolset and practices such as using source control, giving and receiving code reviews, writing unit tests, and familiarity with agile principles .

. Implementing DevOps Development Processes.

. Establishing and employing Continuous Integration practices and using Azure DevOps for both Application and Data.

. Provisioning & Configuration of Azure resources, Cloud-based development using Azure with PaaS services.

. Owning Release Management.

. Implementing and improving monitoring and alerting.

. Build and maintenance of highly available systems.

. Working in the team following Agile practices, working in close cooperation with AXA XL teams to find the best solutions.

SHARE your talent We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:

. Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business management, or a related field required.

. Experience in operating services in the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.

. DevSecOps mindset- automation of deployments and regular operational activities integrated with Cloud Security controls.

. Experience in writing any two scripting - Shell, Python, PowerShell, etc.

. Effective hands-on experience in Azure App Services, Azure.

. Effective expertise in Automation and Configuration management tools: Harness(high desirable), Terraform & ARM templates, Azure Pipelines, Azure DevOps.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

. Effective understanding of container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

. Effective hands-on experience in Azure Storage Account Management.

. Working knowledge of Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.

. Good understanding of Monitoring and Auditing services and toolsets.

. Awareness of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Harness, Jenkins, Git, SVN, Maven, Nexus, Docker, SonarQube, Chef etc.

. In-depth knowledge of change management, release processes & incident management

. Exposure to Disaster Recovery strategy planning and runs.

. No travel is anticipated for this role.
