One of our prestigious clients is looking to hire a Specialist - Structural Design I to be based in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia, In the Maritime industry , who will be responsible for but not limited to:
Job Overview This job role is to ensure execute Structural Engineering Designing activities for rig building and MRO projects.
Responsibilites - Collaborate with engineering teams to design and analyze structural components for various projects.
- Utilize engineering software such as AVEVA 3D modeling software and AutoCAD for 2D drafting to create and modify structural designs.
- Ensure that structural designs comply with international codes and standards, marine regulations, and classification rules.
- Provide expertise in plate/profile nesting and CNC programming, where applicable.
- Contribute to fabrication, construction, and installation engineering activities by providing structural design support.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and team members, to ensure project objectives are met.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in structural design.
- Participate in training sessions and obtain relevant certifications to enhance skills and knowledge in structural design and engineering software.
Qualifications - Bachelors Degree in Engineering Discipline, preferably Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- At least 3-9+ years of experience in any engineering company. Preference will be given to those who have worked in ship and rig building yards, major construction yards, EPC contractors, and/or Consultant Companies using AVEVA 3D modeling software.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and/or AVEVA Marine for 3D hull and structural modeling.
- Knowledge and experience in plate/profile nesting and CNC programming are preferable.
- Demonstrated high-order interpersonal skills and ability to operate within a multinational environment.
- Familiarity with fabrication, construction, and installation engineering of various structures.
- Additional certifications or training on CAD tools and systems are preferred.
