Professional Experience Role: Network Security Engineer (L3 support in Network Security) Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad ( Should be open to rotational shifts.) Experience: 7+ years Notice: Immediate to 15 Days Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing network security infrastructure, including Cisco routers and switches, Juniper firewalls, Palo Alto devices, and Fortinet implementations. Your expertise will contribute to the safeguarding of our network assets, ensuring uninterrupted operations across store locations as well as an Incident Management . Key Responsibilities: 7+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure Operations as a Network Security Engineer or similar role Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco routers and switches to ensure optimal network performance and security. Manage Juniper SRX series firewalls, including SRX340, SRX240, and SRX4200, to enforce security policies and protect against cyber threats. Conduct firewall audits using Firemon tool to assess and enhance security posture. Administer Pulse Secure VPN for secure vendor access to our network resources. Oversee firewall management platforms, including Juniper Space/VM and Palo Alto Panorama, to streamline operations and enhance visibility. Manage Palo Alto firewalls across data centers, manufacturing sites, and global offices to safeguard network assets and sensitive data. Assist in the implementation and optimization of Fortinet firewalls to strengthen network security posture. Integrate Elastic Search into security operations and vulnerability management processes to enhance threat detection and response capabilities. Design and implement cloud integration solutions to connect on-premises infrastructure with cloud environments, leveraging technologies such as F5, DDI/IPAM, VPN/MFA, and Internet Gateways. Maintenance of core routing and switching infrastructure, including BGP and OSPF protocols, to ensure efficient data flow and connectivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control and policy enforcement. Provide support for data center infrastructure, including Equinix/985 facilities and Dual Rm. DF Data Centers, to ensure reliability and uptime of critical systems. Excellent command over Incident process and management Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience in network security engineering, with expertise in Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet technologies. Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers and switches. Hands-on experience with Juniper SRX series firewalls and Firemon firewall auditing tool. Strong understanding of VPN technologies, particularly Pulse Secure VPN. Familiarity with firewall management platforms such as Juniper Space/VM and Palo Alto Panorama. Experience deploying and managing Palo Alto firewalls in enterprise environments. Knowledge of Fortinet firewall implementation and optimization is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
