As the Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and owning the product roadmap and vision. This role entails providing critical insights across the company, including executive leadership, to support strategic decisions for Salesforce. Working closely with various collaborators, you will develop a deep understanding of internal customer use cases and collaborate with engineering architects to execute the product roadmap. Your ability to navigate through ambiguity will be crucial in achieving results while fostering relationships with key internal partners to align priorities and provide prioritized use cases for our engineers. Your Impact As the Director of Product Management (Individual Contributor), you - Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and development of MuleSoft Direct, our industry solution that brings together the power of MuleSoft with Salesforce
- Represent the customer. Be the champion and voice of customers. Build impactful, personal customer relationships. Bring the customer's voice into the creation process. Own requirements, specifications, and release plans. Own demos.
- Collaborate effectively with worldwide, cross-functional teams such as sales, engineering, security, legal, support, marketing, and customer success
- Design and deliver capabilities that improve product usage, grow the business, and make customers successful
- Collaborate with Product Managers from different Industry Clouds and MuleSoft to identify opportunities for leveraging, extending, and optimizing products for various industries.
- Collaborate with Engineering to define product specifications, detail out features, and oversee product releases.
- Partner with Industry experts to identify high-impact business problems that will bring exponential growth to our team.
- Engage with customers, partners, ISVs, and Salesforce product ambassadors to prioritize and incorporate valuable features into the product.
- Represent Salesforce as a product expert during customer interactions, industry and corporate events, community sites, and social media.
Required Skills - Proactive, technically inclined Product Manager capable of independently driving the product forward.
- Demonstrable experience in building enterprise SaaS products.
- Strong comprehension of enterprise architecture principles and experience with APIs and integrations.
- Knowledge of working with distributed systems and interconnecting them.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of Product Managers, considering dependencies and mutual functionality needs.
- Experience working closely with Development Engineers, Quality Engineers, User Experience specialists, and Content Experience specialists to provide direction, prioritisation, and successful delivery of projects.
- At least 14+ years of work experience, with around 8-10 years in product management for verticals and/or management with expertise in enterprise/SaaS environments.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills internally and externally.
- Experience with MuleSoft or other integration platform preferred
- Industry domain experience is a plus
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
