Senior Combustion CFD Engineer
Senior Combustion CFD Engineer is responsible for all aspects of collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop novel combustion configurations to meet and exceed their prototype goals. What You'll Be Doing: The Senior Combustion CFD Engineer is responsible for conducting combustion CFD studies using Fluent and other commercial tools for the design and development of burners and fired heaters· Conduct combustion modeling and analysis studies using computational fluid dynamics and chemical kinetics software. · Down-select design concepts and support combustion hardware design and test for developing low-emissions combustion technology. · Optimize heat transfer and study flame stability of the combustion system. Requirements Our Ideal Combustion CFD Engineer Will: · BTech/MTech with 8+ or Ph.D. with 15+ years in mechanical/aerospace/chemical engineering with a focus on computational combustion research · Be proficient in commercial CFD combustion programs such as ANSYS FLUENT · Have professional experience in combustion, heat transfer, and energy conversion devices. · Have a theoretical understanding of fluid mechanics, turbulent reacting flow, thermal sciences, and working knowledge of burner designs · Have led or managed chemical engineering or mechanical engineering function · Be Organized: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to communicate timely updates to internal stakeholders · Be A Problem Solver: You strive to be proactive and creative solutions to complex problems · A Ph.D. in combustion focusing on fuels, emissions, and combustion stability is a plus!
