Job description
We are seeking confident and self-motivated Engineer to work as a part of a strong team of Design Engineers and Documentation executives and will be responsible for Design Engineering at Satara site.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MathCAD, 3-D CAD software such as Solid works. AutoCAD. Also having experience with CFD simulations would be desirable.
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve engineering and manufacturing related issues and have a thorough understanding of machine shop and foundry practice
- Conduct or provide detailed input for engineering testing of product including written test plans, DFMEA and final engineering reports.
- Possess an understanding of static linear FEA to determine compliance to published design codes and other applicable design standards.
- Establish a strong focus on internal and external customer service that includes on-time submittals of engineering documentation for customer quotations and orders
- Working closely with sales team with front end quoting to offer an engineered solution to specific customer requirements
- Provide technical support via direct communication to sales, marketing and customers.
- Collaborate with peers to determine department goals and objectives and maintain all necessary Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) applicable product lines including input for annual budget planning.
- Submit documents and have them reviewed for approval from relevant authorities.
- Possess a good understanding of an MRP system.
- Good knowledge of BOM structure and change control processes.
- Ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of revision controlled technical documents & product compliances like ASME, API, ISO, PED and CRN.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute.
- 3 to 5 years of engineering experience in valve industry or similar field preferred
- Excellent knowledge of pressure vessel design, manufacturing processes including foundry, forging, machining and advanced techniques
- Understanding of required technical specifications:
- API 600, API 602, API 598, API 603, API 624
- PED 97/23 EG, CRN
- ASME B16.34, ASME B16.25, ASME B16.10, ASME B16.5, ISO and MSS + B16.47 , API 6D , API 594
