Job Summary:
We are looking for a Procurement & Quality Specialist for our solar business to ensure that our procurement and quality control processes are functioning efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring supplies, managing vendor relationships, ensuring quality control standards are met, and developing best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
- Ensure quality control standards are met and maintain necessary documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline process efficiency
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices
- Manage inventory levels & maintain accurate records in the purchasing system
- Perform vendor audits as needed
- Analyze supplier performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, laws, and regulations related to procurement and quality
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or quality control
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other procurement software
- Knowledge of quality control systems, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge to the solar industry will be added benefit
