Job description

You will spearhead the activities and provide In-house facility planning for new engine manufacturing process and continuous improvement in existing products. Your role with entail establishing ways and practices for engine manufacturing and benchmark practices to achieve optimum transformation cost along with conformation to safety standards and contribute to the objectives of the organization through efficient manufacturing process

Your key deliverables will be

· Formulating and ensuring that the PQCDS deliverables of New products are met as per Platform guidelines

· Exploring and Implementing NEW Technologies for manufacturing processes in feasible areas.

· Driving initiatives for continuous improvement in current processes

· Support initiatives for supplier process improvement wherever possible in areas known by academics/experience

· Facilitating and working in CFTs to resolve issues through timely discussion and close looping.

· Generating proposals for TE Timing reduction & its implementation

· Implementation of various Error Proofing (Poka-Yoke) devices.

· Formulating superior Engine technology processes and ensuring proper execution through the team along with adherence to PVPL Quality Standards

· Adopting new technologies and innovations to augment the existing practices

· Promote the safety protocols and ensure adherence to safety standard to promote a safe work environment

· Appraising procedures and defining new approaches along with reducing transformation costs for enhancing capacity.

· Appraising and recommending solutions for process related challenges and resolving queries related to existing processes

· Promoting manufacturing excellence initiatives related to product quality, cost, delivery; manufacturing efficiency and operational excellence to exceed customer expectations

· Sharing information and timely updates with internal and external stake holders along with necessary support for related activities to ensure timely implementation of different projects

· Developing team through functional and managerial leadership and effective talent management by playing an instrumental role in upskilling, guiding, and coaching the team.

Essential Qualification & Experience

BE– Mechanical

15-20 Years of Experience

Preferred Technical Skills and Certification

§ Knowledge of Manufacturing practices of 2W/3W/4W engine product

§ Shop floor & departmental - man management

§ Basic equipment mechanical/PLC/software troubleshooting knowhow

§ Industrial Engineering Techniques like MOST, JIT

Experience of Engine Manufacturing processes related to 2W & 3W reputed OEM
