Job description
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Farmer Consultation:
- Engage in daily telephonic conversations with farmers, aiming for a total talk time of 400 hours, to offer expert advice on agricultural practices.
- Provide solution-oriented guidance and support on issues ranging from crop management to pest control.
Quality Assurance in Communication:
- Ensure that each interaction with farmers is meaningful, informative, and focused on providing practical solutions.
- Maintain a high standard of consultation quality, ensuring that advice is accurate, relevant, and easily understandable.
Continuous Learning and Training:
- Participate in training sessions conducted by the agronomist team to stay updated with the latest agricultural practices and knowledge.
- Apply the learnings from training to enhance the quality of advice provided to farmers.
Record-Keeping and Note-Taking:
- Diligently maintain personal notes and records of consultations to ensure consistency and quality in responses.
- Use notes to quickly refer to previous advice and farmer-specific information during follow-up calls.
Feedback and Improvement:
- Regularly collect and integrate feedback from farmers to continually improve the advisory service.
- Identify common challenges faced by farmers and develop strategies to address these effectively in consultations.
Performance Metrics:
- Meet the daily goal of talk time while ensuring that the quality of each interaction is not compromised.
- Monitor personal performance metrics, such as farmer satisfaction and resolution rates, to gauge effectiveness.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with the agronomist team and other advisors to share insights, experiences, and best practices.
- Contribute to team meetings and discussions, offering feedback and suggestions for improving overall service quality.
Resource Utilization:
- Efficiently use available resources, such as agricultural databases and knowledge repositories, to provide accurate information.
- Stay informed about any new tools or resources introduced by the company for enhancing advisory services.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of agricultural concepts and practical farming challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity, empathy, and patience.
- Ability to articulate complex agricultural advice straightforwardly.
- Dedication to maintaining high-quality standards in customer service.
