Overview
As an Industrial Designer at our company you will play a crucial role in the creation and development of innovative product designs that align with market needs and brand aesthetics. You will be responsible for transforming concepts and ideas into tangible products that enhance user experience and meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to gather design requirements and project objectives
- Conducting market research and trend analysis to identify consumer needs and preferences
- Developing sketches renderings and 3D models to visualize design concepts
- Utilizing CAD software to create detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing
- Prototyping and testing designs to evaluate functionality durability and aesthetics
- Refining designs based on feedback from stakeholders usability testing and costeffectiveness
- Participating in design reviews and presenting concepts to internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborating with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility and quality production
- Staying updated on industry trends materials and manufacturing processes
- Adhering to project timelines budgets and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards
- Supporting the marketing and sales teams with product visuals and promotional materials
- Seeking opportunities for innovation and patentable design solutions
- Mentoring junior designers and providing constructive feedback
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Design Product Design or related field
- Demonstrated experience in designing and launching consumer or industrial products
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD software for 3D modeling and technical drawings (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes materials and engineering principles
- Portfolio showcasing a range of product designs from ideation to production stage
- Ability to communicate and present design concepts effectively to diverse audiences
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to incorporate feedback into design iterations
- Knowledge of ergonomic principles usercentered design and design thinking methodologies
- Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and testing methodologies
- Understanding of intellectual property patenting processes and design protection
- Ability to work in a fastpaced collaborative environment and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of design for sustainability and environmental considerations
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry best practices
