Job Description

• Support proposals for Functional Safety Manager projects with estimation of efforts, risks and mitigation
• Prepare safety deliverables end to end (HARA, Safety Concept, FSR, TSR)
• Perform Safety Analysis reports
• Walkthrough of safety deliverables to customers, facilitate the approvals of safety work products.
• Steer the system, software and hardware team to achieve desired compliance to safety standards
• Support the projects in achieving third-party certifications related to safety by front ending safety of he product to certification agencies
• Participate in organization wide Safety Competency initiatives and be an ambassador of Lessons learned and Best Practicesacross the different safety teams.

Qualifications

Experience in handling Functional Safety topics from requirements through implementation for a minimum of two launched projects in adherence to safety standards (e.g. IEC 61508, ISO 26262, EN 50126/128/129, etc.) Certification in any of the Functional Safety standards Good knowledge and experience in ISO 26262 Part 4, 5 and 6 Rich Experience in performing safety analysis for HW and SW independently Hands on experience in deriving safety requirements at system, HW and SW Ability to derive safety timing requirements Experience in guiding the system, software and hardware team towards safety compliance Ability to interact with customer and lead the safety topic from proto phase to series release Good automotive knowhow and embedded design and development experience Experience in executing HARA, FME(D)A/FTA/DFA at System Level, SW and HW component level Possess strong passion for safety with high risk taking appetite to explore un-touched areas in safety domain. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The candidate is required to make a trip to Chennai for five days each month.
