Job Description:

As a Lead Economist you will play a pivotal role in guiding and participating in task

teams delivering integrated lending and analytical products. Your expertise will

translate analytical findings into concrete policy dialogue and lending operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Economic Analysis: Lead and participate in task teams to deliver integrated lending

and analytical products, translating analytical findings into concrete policy dialogue

and lending operations.

2. Forecasting: Produce short-term and long-term interest rate and general economic

forecasts to inform financial strategies.

3. Capital Planning: Provide forward-looking analysis for capital planning, identifying

economic trends and related factors.

4. Economic Commentary: Publish regular economic analysis commentaries and

forecasts of interest rates and key economic factors on a timely basis.

5. Consultation: Consult with various bank departments on economic forecasts,

market behavior, and political decisions that may impact their areas.

6. Work Planning: Draft work plans, including methods, data requirements, costs,

timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

7. Collaboration: Identify and collaborate with outside economic experts and

consultants hired by counterpart organizations.

8. Project Management: Utilize experience in supervision and management of large-

scale research projects.

9. Communication: Present relevant economic analysis effectively to peers,

managers, policymakers, and academics.

10. Valuation Projects: Carry out pilot valuation projects that implement the conceptual

framework.

Qualifications:

 Master's or Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.

 Proven experience in economic leadership, forecasting, and analysis.

 Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

 Proficiency in statistical and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python).

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Ability to present complex economic concepts clearly.

 Experience in team management and collaboration.

 Knowledge of global economic trends and their impact on the financial services

• sector.
