DevOps SpecialistJD brief :- DevOps, with experience working- With winscp , putty , all linux commands , CI/CD and Jenkins.Client is looking for someone who is able to lead and get involved in integration more, we need people who are prepared to spread themselves a bit thinner than in some tech companies.A DevOps Specialist is responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations teams, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of software applications. The role involves implementing and managing tools and processes to automate the build, deployment, and monitoring of applications. Key responsibilities typically include :- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline the software development lifecycle (SDLC).- Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts for build, deployment, and monitoring processes using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.- Infrastructure Management: Manage and provision cloud infrastructure using tools like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of code to various environments.- Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring tools like Nagios, ELK Stack, or Prometheus to ensure the performance and availability of applications.- Security: Implement security best practices for infrastructure and application deployment, including access controls and data protection.- Documentation: Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructure to ensure smooth operation of applications.- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize the performance of applications and infrastructure to meet business requirements.- Training and Support: Provide training and support to development and operations teams on DevOps practices and tools.- Requirements for a DevOps Specialist often include a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with experience in software development, system administration, and DevOps practices. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential for this role.
