Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Lead Technical Architect to join our dynamic team. As a PHP Lead Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing high-quality PHP-based solutions that align with our business objectives. You will be responsible for leading a team of developers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within established timelines. Key Responsibilities: Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, reliable, and secure PHP applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and define project scope and deliverables. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project guidelines. Architect and implement efficient, reusable, and maintainable code that meets performance and scalability requirements. Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize application performance and functionality. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in PHP development, and integrate them into the development process as appropriate. Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback, address issues, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives. Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines, automate deployment processes, and ensure the reliability and availability of applications. Participate in architectural discussions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and make recommendations to drive innovation and improve development processes. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure the stability and performance of production systems. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 6 years of experience in PHP development Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL Experience with version control systems such as Git Knowledge of RESTful web services and API development Experience with testing and debugging tools Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, prioritize tasks, and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment. Certification in PHP development or related technologies. Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes). Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Travis CI. Experience with performance optimization, profiling tools, and caching techniques. Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls to protect web applications against common threats.
