. Concept models of advanced Body in White (BIW) structures and Finite Element (FE) mesh for CAE assessment Experience in CAE analysis of vehicle sub systems
. Knowledge of automotive materials and materials science, including steel, aluminum, composites Understanding of structural theory and properties of thin-walled sections
. Able to manage multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously
. Must have excellent v erbal and written communication skills
. Familiarity with automotive Body structures, design processes, BIW assembly processes and materials used in BIW design Experience with SFE CONCEPT software, model building and FE mesh morphing tools
. Knowledge of FE mesh morphing tools
. High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
. Generation of Rapid Concept Development (RCD) models, Run the CAE analysis of the model in different Finite Element (FE) analysis codes including LS-Dyna, Nastran and Isight / OptiStru ct/ Hyperworks.
. Application of optimization parameters (e.g. shape, gauge, material, topology) to the RCD model, prepare the model for optimization, and run the optimization study on system.
. Where appropriate, application of topology, topography and shape optimization tools to generate design concepts.
. Preparation of reports and summaries of structural performance, and working with engineer s to design countermeasures and improvements to the analyzed concept.
