Purpose: Thermal analysis of launch vehicle electronic packages with strong emphasis on space systems thermal. Essential Responsibilities: Thermal design and analysis of launch vehicle electronic components to estimate the thermal performance which includes thermal distribution, hotspot and critical components, etc Strong fundamental understanding on Launch vehicle and Space thermal environments Strong system level thinking and ability to give design suggestion based on simulation results. Produce high quality documentation of work assigned. Preferred skills and experience: Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineer with minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experienced in Electronic components thermal modelling and thermal analysis Proficient with CFD and FEA tools for detailed system level analysis (Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer Fundamentals) Experienced in NX/Simcenter: TMG solver (Space systems thermal), ANSYS Fluent. Proficient in any one of the programming languages such as MATLAB/Python is desirable. Familiar with space thermal materials such as thermal pads, thermal grease and surface finishes. Strong understanding of fundamentals of Heat and mass transfer and CFD Capability to physically understand the problems and offer quick solutions on a system level. Interaction with multiple teams to ensure the design meets all requirements. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
