Job Description (VFX Artist)

As a VFX Artist, you will be responsible for working hand-in-hand with the design and illustration team, aiding with the creation of assets. The role then leads to bringing them to life and delivering high quality and innovative motion graphic content that seamlessly integrates with marketing demos, eLearning solutions and corporate videos. This is a role for a creative individual with excellent aesthetic judgment and willingness to collaborate within a team environment. You will be an integral part of every stage in the creative process, from conceptualization to client amends.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, design, and create stunning in-game visual effects (modeling, texturing, animating, lighting, shaders, etc.) by using available tools in a Realtime engine.
• Work collaboratively with game designers and engineers to understand and interpret gameplay requirements to communicate gameplay mechanics to the player within the constraints of the engine.
• Work with the art team to define a consistent style for VFX and to ensure the quality of the assets for all aspects of the project.
• Ensure that VFX assets are built efficiently and within the given deadlines.
• Prepare assets for export to the game engine.
• Provide creative and innovative solutions to technical art problems and/or restrictions.
• Help in developing tools & refining pipelines for the art production process, including batching and automation.
• Create highly engaging complex animations for a diverse array of media, including smartphones, tablets and the web.
• Work with illustrators, designers and instructional designers to understand the project scope and objectives.
• Assist in the creation of animation storyboards.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.
• Assist in selecting appropriate audio, graphic and animation styles for the project.
• Encoding, converting and editing videos and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics. 
• Support the design and illustration team with photo editing, bespoke illustration and icon design.
• Produce high quality 2D Motion Graphics Animation (graphics + animation) for explainer video/game according to the storyboard.
• Research and analyze best design techniques and solutions to create motion graphics.
• Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.
• Work with editors, producers and other designers to resolve technical and/or design issues.

• Working knowledge of VFX will be an added advantage.
• Improving existing games by acquiring a wide range of knowledge in the gaming domain.
• Conduct market research to understand what the target audience wants.
• Transform a rough idea into a detailed concept and then implement it.
• Bring innovation and resolution to technical problems and challenges throughout production.
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-end digital design skills.
• Practical knowledge of state machines, motion trees, and cutting-edge animation technology.
• Capable of handling projects individually.
• Experience in video editing, 2d animation, video creation, etc.
• Develop new concepts, designs, animations, logos and style frames.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest graphic design techniques.

Technologies:

• Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Animate.
• Cinema 4D, Premiere, Final Cut Pro.
• Knowledge on Unity 3D.
