About this opportunity
The Integration Engineer will be responsible for the designing and implementing tasks that supports Middleware Integration Platform and Messaging System. This role will work with the Security, Software, Quality Assurance and Cloud and System Administration teams among others to ensure to deliver strong and consistent solution that follows industry best practice and open standards.
In this role, you will…
- Function as DevOps Engineer for Middleware Integration and Messaging Platform.
- Support System Integration Solutions using different On-Prem and Cloud Providers.
- Interact with functional and technical representatives as well as development leads to support platform and deploy changes.
- Prepare test plans and conduct Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance and Functional Testing.
- Resolve complex issues uncovered by testers and internal clients.
- Support production systems.
- Manage changes according to change management policies and processes and adhere to established change management and change control systems.
- Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.
- Provide support and contribute to CICD methodology and help with standardizing and automating workflows and tasks
In this role, you'll need …
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience
Required Experience:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience with specific focus on Systems/Platforms Support.
- 3+ years of experience with System engineering.
- 3+ years of experience with System Administration.
- 2+ years of experience with delivering solutions using Java, Middleware tools, or Messaging .
- Experience with Core Java, and J2EE technologies: JMS, XSD, XSLT is a plus.
- Understanding on Linux (Rhel/Centos, Shell Scripting, Cron Jobs, Mounts etc.)
- Experience with Cloud Computing especially with AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
- Hands on experience with Configuration Management tool such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform etc.
- Experience with Monitoring and Alerting tools like Splunk, SignalFx, Logic Monitor.
- Experience with CICD pipeline, Configuration management and version control.
- Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Strong debugging and troubleshooting skill.
- Proven strong skills in critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions.
Required Technical Skills
- Experience with Messaging (Kafka, JMS, Active MQ etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledgeable in MS SQL Server, Postgres SQL, and basic SQL.
- Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure etc.)
- AWS certification is a plus.
- Experience in Chef, Ansible, Terraform.
- Understanding of System engineering concepts like Load balancing, Capacity planning, firewalls, Nginx, SSL etc.
- Nice to have Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
