Job description
This position is responsible for the manufacturing processes, Production systems, Planning and meeting customer delivery schedules with prime importance to Quality; Setting productivity targets and work towards profit goals of the organization; Develop and maintain a safe working environment wrt plant machinery.
- To establish and run world class manufacturing process & systems in place to meet customer demands in terms of quality and quantity
- To plan and develop operation team of around 10 staff and 180 associates for the forecast challenges
- Plan, organize ,review and direct the manufacturing operations which ensure the most effective return on assets.
- Executing plans and install processes to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- To work in attaining the business objectives and production schedules while ensuring in meeting product standards that will exceed customers' expectations.
- Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports organization strategic initiatives.
- To establish best practices are followed throughout assigned areas
- To comply with all applicable regulations by strictly following FCPA model.
- To Improve employees' motivation with opportunity for constructive input and action. Improving morale of the employees.
- Responsible for operational excellence and supporting Divisional Mfg System
- Provides direction and directives to the department staff in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities and initiatives that support the business objectives.
- To Streamlines processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- To work towards goal setting, policy deployment, and implementation in achieving business objectives and organization growth.
- To coordinate with the plant support team in order to bring continuous reduction in scrap cost, Energy consumption and customer quality improvement . Should be versed with PLC based equipment and performance test equipment.
- To create a continuous improvement culture, TPM, Waste elimination, OE and productivity improvement.
- To Work with the Safety committee to drive organization's safety efforts.
- Continually improve safety record by addressing safety issues of employees.
- Safety attitudes. Maintain and improve 5S, housekeeping in all areas.
- Facilitate routine workplace safety inspection. Identify any hazard proactively and take corrective actions; Encourage employees to involve in establishment, implementation and modification of safety and operation rules.
- Timely investigation of accident and correction of root causes with
- permanent actions in place; Attend and participate in safety meeting and trainings; establish safety culture.
- Drive continuous improvements through lean practices, KAIZEN, QCC
- Work towards manufacturing cost improvement actions and achieving the targets
- Manage launch phase in shop floor to ensure transfer of product from NPD to Operation without any gap.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Operation Head
