Job description

1.Availability & Reliability of Electrical Equipment : Develop maintenance plan and arrange resources, Analysis of breakdowns and corrective/preventive actions.
2. Regular meeting with internal customers to understand and fulfill their requirements, Organize and monitor implementation of jobs in shutdown, To interact with OEM/Consultant for typical maintenance problems and new technological improvements, To carry out life cycle analysis for replacing/selecting new equipment, Identify and analyze bottlenecks/improvement opportunities, Interact with OEM and consultants, Formulate improvement proposals and seek approval, Organise implementation of improvement projects, Evaluate suggestions under suggestion scheme and arrange to implement accepted suggestions, Participate in Six Sigma/strategic improvement projects, Introduce new systems and best practices.
3.Cost Control & reduction: Prepare budget and monitor expenses, Take regular stock of inventory and identify means of reducing it., Cross functional interaction to identify scope of reduction in power consumption, Prepare estimate and take approval for energy saving projects/modifications, Check on proper utilization of man & material,
4. People Management & Team building Fixing up of performance objectives, Performance assessment of subordinates, Assist subordinates achieve their performance objectives by arranging resources like, manpower, material, etc, Identification of training needs of subordinates and arrange to impart the training, Keep the team motivated by appreciating, rewarding and encouraging their efforts for improvement, effective communication & knowledge sharing with subordinates, Job enrichment of subordinates by delegating.
5. Project Engineering and Execution: Interact with consultants, technology suppliers, Conduct feasibility studies, Prepare project budget, Prepare execution plan, Coordinate commissioning activities.
6. Uninterrupted Power Supply Distribution to Plant & Colony: Ensure availability of equipment of 132 KV ODSY and 6.6 KV MPSS by adhering to strict maintenance/inspection schedule, Make arrangement to minimize impact of grid disturbances on plant operation, To keep maximum demand under control, Keep record of system parameters, Analyze cause of voltage dips and power failures and take corrective actions, Parallel operation of TPP & Grid system to ensure economic utilization of grid and captive power, Coordinate with Process TPP departments during load shedding period.
7. Safety & Statutory Compliance: Ensure 100% implementation of all rolled safety standards with special emphasis on electrical safety, LOTOTO , PTW and Identify and remove unsafe act/conditions, implementation of incident investigation and RCN/BCN recommendations.
