Job description
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant specializing in Corporate International Taxation and Merger & Acquisition Taxation to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing strategic tax advice structuring international transactions and managing tax implications related to mergers acquisitions and restructuring activities.
Responsibilities:
International Tax Planning:
- Develop and implement taxefficient structures for multinational corporations to optimize their global tax position.
- Provide guidance on crossborder transactions transfer pricing and international tax treaties to minimize tax exposure and risks.
Merger & Acquisition Taxation:
- Conduct due diligence reviews to assess tax implications and risks associated with mergers acquisitions and divestitures.
- Advise clients on structuring transactions to achieve tax efficiency including postmerger integration planning and tax attribute optimization.
Tax Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations including filing requirements and documentation for crossborder transactions.
- Prepare and review tax provisions tax returns and related disclosures for mergers acquisitions and reorganizations.
Client Advisory and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients understanding their business objectives and providing tailored tax solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor offering strategic insights and recommendations to address clients tax challenges and opportunities.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and coach junior team members fostering a collaborative and highperformance work environment.
- Contribute to knowledgesharing initiatives staying abreast of industry developments tax reforms and emerging trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Taxation or related field; Masters degree or professional certification (e.g. CA CPA ACCA) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in corporate international taxation and merger & acquisition taxation within a Big4 firm or reputable tax advisory practice.
- Strong understanding of Indian and international tax laws regulations and accounting principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in structuring crossborder transactions transfer pricing methodologies and tax planning strategies.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to nontax professionals.
- Proven track record of managing multiple client engagements meeting deadlines and delivering highquality work.
- Proficiency in tax software applications and Microsoft Office suite.
