Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Media Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and executing comprehensive media plans that align with marketing objectives. The Media Planner will be responsible for researching target audiences, analysing market trends, and recommending effective media channels to maximize campaign success. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities: 1. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify target audiences, media consumption habits, and industry trends. Analyse data and insights to develop a deep understanding of consumer behaviour and preferences. Stay updated on emerging media trends, technologies, and platforms. 2. Media Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand campaign objectives, target audience, and key messaging. Develop comprehensive media plans that outline the optimal mix of channels, including traditional and digital media. Utilize demographic, geographic, and psychographic data to make informed decisions on media placements. Optimize media plans based on performance metrics and campaign goals. 3. Budget Management: Develop and manage media budgets. Ensure effective allocation of budgets across various media channels to maximize ROI. 4. Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with media vendors and platforms. Negotiate rates, terms, and added value opportunities with media partners. Stay abreast of industry benchmarks to ensure competitive pricing and favourable terms. 5. Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and analyse the performance of media campaigns. Provide regular reports and insights on key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders. Recommend adjustments and improvements based on data-driven insights. Qualification, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field. Proven experience as a Media Planner or in a similar role within the marketing/advertising industry. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and trends. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficient in media planning tools and software. Familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and emerging media trends. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Job tags
