Job description
Our client, a Global Investment Management firm, is looking to add to its Equity Research team in India. The research team works closely with the firm's Portfolio Managers and Analysts in the US HQs and desks. The Researchers will cover specific companies / stocks in a particular industry - current or prior industries coverage of - Healthcare / Financial Institutions / Technology / Industrials / Hardware, will be advantageous.
Roles and Responsibilities : Take ownership of stocks under active coverage and maintain financial models, track news flows, summarize sell-side research views, and cover earnings results and other key catalyst events. Responsible for providing coverage for specific companies in the FIG sector that are of interest to the group. Track news flows and sell-side research views, cover results, support detailed modelling of company financials, and prepare investment write-ups/presentations. Conduct in depth benchmarking of valuation and operational metrics (versus peer groups), sensitivity analysis, and scenario analysis. Conduct extensive data analysis to enable informed decision making on equity trades. Work closely with front office groups to iterate on financial models and investment research. Attend management/intermediary/sector expert calls and develop industry sector expertise. In the long term, you will be expected to deliver high quality end-to-end equity research. Required and desired skills & experience The ideal candidate should have a degree in finance or equivalent (Master of Business Administration/Chartered Financial Analyst/Chartered Accountant), Two plus years of investment/ financial research experience in covering any of these sectors - Healthcare / Financial Institutions / Technology / Industrials / Semiconductor - will be desired. Candidates with experience in international markets - US/ EMEA/APAC will have an added advantage. Candidate should have excellent equity research skills. The candidate should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. We have multiple open roles - across levels - we would interested in candidate with Equity Research experience ranging from 2 to 12/14 years.Job tags
