Job location : Pune,Bangalore,Gurgaon Role and Responsibilities: • Proficiency and expert knowledge and experience in Web platform technologies such as - Microsoft IIS - Apache Tomcat server - Apache server - Web platform services Expert Knowledge of installation, configuration and maintenance of Tuxedo Software and Servers, Perl and Micro Focus Cobol runtime environment and compiler. Expert Knowledge on Ansible , Salt, Git Lab runner, Icinga, Nagios, SCOM Monitoring tools • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Web platform operation team. • Lead the architecture, Plan and design of web platform solutions, focusing on technologies like Tomcat, Apache, and IIS· • Design, Plan and implement high-availability and load-balancing strategies to ensure seamless platform performance • Installation, configuration, and maintenance, dismantling of Apache, Tomcat and IIS instance, ensuring adherence to best practices. • Integration of Upstream and Downstream systems. Such as Apache Apache Tomcat, Database server, file system server configuration of AJP connector, email server, MQ server. • Implement security measures, including SSL certificates, firewalls, access controls, and vulnerability assessments, to protect web servers and applications. • Provide expert-level technical support for Web platform operation related issues, offering strategic guidance for problem resolution. • Collaborate with web application owners to facilitate the deployment of systems, applications and services on Web platforms system (Tomcat, apache, and IIS) • Customize the web application configuration properties, initiate deployment of web applications (EAR, WAR file) on web platform system. • Deploy web applications and updates, including WAR, JAR, and DLL files, to the appropriate server environments. • Perform Daily routine activities, Updating and routing Incident and request tickets, Alerts monitoring, Log monitoring, Documentation. • Implement and Plan for updates, patches, and security fixes to servers and web applications to address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance. • setup, installation and configuration of frameworks, applications, services accounts, cron jobs and permission required for successful operation of web platform systems. • Lead efforts to optimize middleware performance through tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning. • Monitor and analyze platform performance, proactively identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and potential issues. • Implement automation and scripting for Web platform systems configurations, deployments, and routine tasks • Share knowledge and best practices to enhance the skillset of team members. • Incidents, Problems & Service request resolution adhering to SLA . • Perform Root cause analysis & Impact assessments. • Infrastructure health monitoring, Backup and restore • Implementation of system change requests and releases. • Upgrade and patching of existing Web platform systems to newer versions. Tools : Elastic Search, Graylog, WorkNode, IBM license management Tool, Gitlab Runner, Salt etc. Knowledge on CI/CD pipeline creation. Technical skills: Knowledge of windows and linux operating system Middleware Administration Apache Tomcat Administration Apache server Administration Tuxedo Software, Micro Focus Cobol Runtime, Perl runtime environment Ansible, Salt, Gitlab Runner Database (Oracle or MSSQL) ITIL V3/V4 Foundation CertificationJob tags
