The role of the Principal is an academic management role reporting to the Management of the School who is in charge of both academics and administration. It involves leading a team of school coordinators, subject heads, and teachers to create educational value for students and parents of the school. The desired candidate must lead with a mindset of achieving the school's mission and vision and ensure uniformity of teaching and learning practices throughout the school to create quality focussed education.

The final selection will be done based on a score of 75% or above on skills, subject knowledge and a minimum of 2 years experience in the role of a Vice Principal or Senior School coordinator in a CBSE school. The highest scoring candidate will be offered the position and if not accepted then the next highest score and so on.

Responsibilities

The Principal will follow the CBSE subject-wise and class-wise guidelines to ensure that all coordinators and subject heads are guiding their teachers in accordance with the CBSE mandates and teaching practices. The Vice Principal will be the overall academic in charge of the school and will take her decisions independently with regard to the number of teachers per class, the availability of replacements and part-time teachers for specific areas and the conduct of extra and co-curricular activities of the school. The Principal is also expected to maintain regular communications with the school's parent bodies to ensure that they understand and comply with the various school circulars, instructions, and strategies to develop the students for a bright future. The Principal should also bring innovative ideas to the table to grow the student strength, conduct community outreach programs, and in engaging with other schools for inter-school activities. The Principal should also ensure that the activities associated with teaching are aligned with the curriculum requirements and the vision and mission of the school and to ensure uniformity of thoughts across all classes and levels of the school.

Qualifications

Post Graduate-level qualified school leader with a minimum of three years of leadership experience and a minimum five years of teaching experience . He or She should have undergone training in interpersonal skills, and have good communication ability, especially in English language, and other languages such as Tamil.

Relocation

This job is a full-time on-site job and requires the candidate to be available or to relocate within 10 kms of the school to provide maximum engagement with the school community of teachers, parents and students.
