Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Event Manager. We seek an experienced and enthusiastic Event Manager to plan, manage, and execute both small and large-scale events across India. This role is vital in delivering unique and engaging experiences that embody Daakroom's commitment to authentic connections and the art of letter writing.

He/she will be responsible for planning and executing events, including Daakrooms' flagship event - The Letter Writing Carnival, and managing several other events and on-ground campaigns. He/she will also be responsible for budget management, vendor management, logistics, marketing, and complete execution. Some work from home is acceptable on mutual consent.

• Plan and execute events, ensuring alignment with Daakroom's vision of promoting handwritten communication.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and partners, ensuring smooth event operations.
• Travel across India to manage events, ensuring high standards of execution and audience engagement.
• Contribute to the creative process, aligning event themes with our mission.
• Manage logistics, including budgeting, and oversee on-site event activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including educational institutions and government organisations.

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning and management, including budget management, vendor management, logistics, marketing, and complete event execution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Creative and strategic mindset
• Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced environments
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in event management, with exposure to the education, arts, or cultural sectors.
