Job description
In this role, you ll work closely with engineering leadership, Developmental teams, and cross-functional teams to capture and maintain requirements that exercise software features across integrated products and release life cycles
- Then, within the team and department, will learn and/or contribute to automation and manual solutions

What You ll Be Doing As A Part of Our Team
- Adhere and lead the department in Quality Assurance, Software Development, and Release Management Best Practices.
- Be aware of who the customer is and how our products are trying to help them.
- Review function and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Applies software quality practices for testability of products and services.
- Identifies, and proposes process improvements in their team or work area.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies to represent a Quality mindset - including actively participating in the breakdown of work to ensure we have a strong testing approach for each story/defect worked.
- Self-organize with a team around project work.
- Work with a team to extract technical tasks from business requirements.
- Manually write and execute to support Business purposes.
- Support deployments, within and outside of Business hours.
- Proactively seeks and obtains guidance from more experienced team members and uses these opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Identify requirements from specifications, map test scenarios or case requirements, and design test coverage plans.
- Create and execute Test Suites for Defect corrections and enhancements within workflows to ensure system functionality satisfies criteria.
- Use SQL database tools to perform SQL backend testing and validate that the sites and systems meet design requirements.
- Ensure validated deliverables meet design specifications and requirements.
- Isolate, replicate, and report Defects to verify fixes.
- Share results, status updates, and metrics with management and team leads.
- Help estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Reporting on Defects and resolving them to their resolution.
- Support Post Production Testing.
- Reliable and punctual in reporting for work and taking designated breaks.
What You Should Have to Qualify
- Able to handle multiple responsibilities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Know basics of lower level and up Quality Assurance, Software Development, and Release Management Best Practices experience.
- Able to be coached on technologies.
- Be organized, ahead of schedule, communicative, and accountable.
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and automation strategies.
- Ability to read and follow architectural documentation standards.
- Able to collaboratively solve risk and issues to keep things moving forward and help implement process changes to do so.
- Capable of understanding the concept of a Story and Defect
- Know how to use common communication tools such as email and instant messaging systems. Has the ability to work with others on the same story or goal.
- 2-4 years of Software Quality Assurance, and Software Development experience and understanding of the industryu0027s Best Practices .
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban development environments.
- Experience testing Applications and different types of testing approaches.
- Knowledge on front, and back-end testing.
- Understanding different testing environments.
- Experience with Test Suite and Defect management.
- Experience documenting and reporting test results.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ideally, You Would Also Have These
- Healthcare domain knowledge or previous QA experience with healthcare APIs and applications.
- Experience using VersionOne and/or Jira to support personal and team activities.
