Job Description and Responsibilities
SW Process Engineer The Process Engineer is responsible for the SW development process. He/She will collaborate with the development teams to define and maintain the processes as well as process assets (templates, checklists, procedures, etc). Process Engineers are also responsible for maintaining the process assets up to date with the latest industry standards and with the progressive learning of the development teams (lessons learned and best practices). Drive the process for compliance to best in class SW industry standards and ensure development teams are adhering to internal standards .Lead cross-functional teams in contributing to the software development to define and maintain the Software processes and standards for the internally developed EE controls .Understand the process landscape across various platforms and suggest improvement recommendations .Monitor current processes and drive improvements/ corrections based on findings .Analyze and identify the process risks and define the process improvement needs .Provide constant reporting to Management on the results and risks associated with assessment findings .Support strategic planning and roadmap with Software development teams for ASPICE Level 3 compliance .Define a road map for process development and maintenance aligned to the organization direction .Identify critical areas of improvement .Lead Process Institutionalization .Assist in promoting the implementation of Software best practices .Establish and maintain strong rapport and trust with development teams and other organization stakeholders .Engage effectively with people who have various levels of seniority; understanding, to convey complex SW topics .Distill a range of SW quality information into key insights relevant to senior managers .Communicate risks to groups or audience of different knowledge level and/or different disciplines .Provide training programs on new processes as needed .Performing integrated ASPICE and functional safety assessments for powertrain controls supplier sPerforming internal ASPICE assessments for in-house ECU sSupport strategic planning and roadmap development for ASPICE Level 3 .Responsible for understanding the process landscape across various platforms and recommend improvement initiatives .Monitor current processes and drive improvements/ corrections based on findings .Communicate risks to groups or audience of different knowledge level and/or different disciplines . Job Qualificatio n s Basic Qualificatio nsBachelor’s or master of science in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related Engineering degree from an accredited universit y.At least 5 years of applied experience in Software Engineerin g.Certified Provisional ASPICE Assess orStrong knowledge of other software process models (CMMI, ISO26262, ISO21434, TS16949/QS9000 ).Proved knowledge in process modeling and process modeling tools (ex: Stages ).Thorough understanding of quality tools (APQP process, Root Cause Analysis, 8D ).Familiar with Classic and Adaptive AUTOSA R.Familiar with MISRA tools/complianc e.Worked within an Agile/auto scrum environmen t .
