Roles & responsibilities: • Addressing the medical issues that patients present with by consulting their medical history; performing diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and referrals as needed.
• Placing lab test orders and analyzing test results.
• Upholding objectivity and secrecy at all times.
• Gathering, documenting, and preserving private patient data, including test findings, health histories, and reports.
• Carrying out minor surgical procedures.
• Educating patients about procedures or recommended therapies.
• Communicating with hospital and community medical staff.
• Encouraging health education in collaboration with medical specialists.
• Achieving the goals set by the government for particular treatments, such as childhood vaccinations.
• Speaking with representatives from the pharmaceutical industry about and assessing new pharmaceutical goods.
• Staying abreast of medical advancements, therapies, and prescription drugs.
• Observing and evaluating the work of aspiring physicians and medical students, as well as teaching in hospitals and medical schools.
