Job Title: Manager, IT Operations
Job Summary The Manager of IT Operations is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes managing the IT support team, ensuring the availability and performance of systems, and implementing and maintaining security measures.
Responsibilities - Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the IT Operations team.
- Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of servers, networks, and other critical systems.
- Security Management:
- Implement and manage security measures to protect the organization's IT assets and data.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- IT Support:
- Coordinate IT support services, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures to streamline support processes.
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors for IT services and solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Budgeting and Planning:
- Develop and manage the IT Operations budget.
- Contribute to the strategic planning process, aligning IT initiatives with organizational goals.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Develop and maintain a robust disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
- Conduct regular testing to ensure the effectiveness of these plans.
Qualifications - Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 6-7 years or more of experience in IT operations, with a proven track record of leadership and team
- Experience in implementing and managing security measures.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or PMP are a plus.
