Job description
Job Summary:
An MBBS doctor is responsible for providing primary and specialized medical care to patients, diagnosing and treating illnesses, conducting medical examinations, and offering preventive healthcare services. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care and Examination:
Conduct thorough medical examinations to diagnose illnesses and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, and therapies in alignment with established protocols and guidelines.
Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and educate them on managing their conditions.
Medical Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients, including examination notes, treatment plans, and prescriptions.
Ensure compliance with medical record-keeping standards and confidentiality regulations.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and potential risks and benefits.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Emergency Medical Services:
Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate medical care and interventions as needed.
Stabilize and prepare patients for further treatment or transfer to specialized facilities if required.
Health Promotion and Education:
Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures, lifestyle modifications, and healthy living practices.
Promote public health initiatives and contribute to community health education programs.
Compliance and Ethics:
Adhere to ethical and legal principles, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and professional conduct.
Comply with regulatory requirements and maintain licensure and certifications.
Qualifications:
MBBS degree from a recognized medical school.
Valid medical license or registration to practice medicine.
Postgraduate training or specialization in a specific medical field (optional but beneficial).
Strong knowledge of medical principles, practices, and procedures.
