Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage production planning and control strategies to optimize efficiency and meet production targets.
2. Coordinate with various departments including production, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of components.
3. Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
4. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate production scheduling and resource allocation.
5. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels and prevent shortages or overages.
6. Utilize ERP/MRP systems to track production orders, manage inventory, and generate reports for analysis.
7. Develop and maintain production schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
8. Implement best practices for lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and waste reduction.
9. Train and mentor production staff on production planning procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
10. Conduct regular audits and assessments of production processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
2. 3-4 years of experience in precision components manufacturing, with a strong understanding of production planning and control principles.
3. Excellent technical knowledge of precision machining processes and equipment.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
5. Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive results.
8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
10. Strong follow-up and time management skills, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving targets.

Additional

• Knowledge of Six Sigma or other quality management methodologies is a plus.
• Certification in production planning and control is desirable.
• Experience in implementing automation solutions for production planning and control is advantageous.
