Program Manager-Field Research

Overview: As the Field Operations Manager, you will lead and oversee the execution of field survey projects from planning to completion. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing operational strategies, managing field teams, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

This role demands strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of field survey operations.

Responsibilities: Develop and implement operational strategies for field survey projects in alignment with overall project goals. Collaborate with project managers and researchers to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements. Recruit, train, and supervise field survey teams, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources. Provide leadership and guidance to field supervisors and enumerators, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed. Plan and coordinate field logistics, including equipment deployment, transportation, and accommodation for field teams. Establish communication protocols to ensure seamless information flow between field teams and project headquarters. Address logistical challenges in real-time to minimize disruptions to field operations. Implement protocols for quality assurance during field data collection, ensuring accuracy and completeness of collected data. Develop and implement strategies to reduce data collection errors and improve overall data quality. Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing updates on field operations, challenges, and progress. Collaborate with researchers, Field Survey Programmers, and data analysts to address project requirements and ensure the smooth flow of information between teams. Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets related to field operations. Manage expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Analyse field operation processes and provide recommendations for improvements in efficiency and effectiveness. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance field survey operations.

Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Operations Management). 5yrs+ experience in managing and leading field survey operations. Strong project management skills, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with survey methodologies, data collection tools, and quality assurance processes. Ability to adapt to dynamic and challenging field environments. Proficiency in MS Office tools is a plus
