DBA looking for a place with a huge amount of data, your place is with us. Responsibilities: Manage a large production environment including various, databases, Bigdata system, etc. Monitoring and troubleshooting issues such as slowness in the cluster, heavy load, slow queries. Monitor and improve by establishing metrics and dashboards. 24/7 support – on call required Regularly communicate complex technical issues, solutions, and designs to a wide variety of audiences. Work closely with various operations and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues. Work closely with analysts, developers, and operations staff. Requirements : Good System Engineering or System Administration experience. Understanding of Vertica DB architecture Experience administration of Vertica DB – at least 2 years Strong SQL and query optimization Experience setting up highly scalable redundant systems in production Python - 2 years experience Team player, high motivation and ability to work in flexible hours.
