This PM will lead functional and non-functional aspects of the Flex platform products and ensure each release is successful by fostering team collaboration, continuous improvement and representing the voice of the customer. You will take responsibility for the features you manage, helping the cross-functional team of developers, designers, and testers understand the capability and outcome. Your goal is to ensure that the feature set is well defined, scalable, resilient, and supportable to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities - Builds and manage the backlog with the support of the Principal Manager
- Define functional and non-functional requirements. Breaking features into well defined user stories, clearly communicate these requirements to engineers and designers, with use case scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Align on MVP requirements with Product Management and prioritize a critical path of backlog items to deliver it
- Advocate for agile thinking and delivery
- Help define and measure Product metrics
- Ensures any required artifacts are associated with epics and stories to enable delivery
- Be a 'Product expert' to support and guide engineers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate across the organization and with Engineering creating a bridge to other teams as required to clearly understand dependencies and drive solution delivery.
- Collaborates with Sales, Services, and Support teams to ensure their needs are being met.
- Assists services and engineering with troubleshooting product escalations from customers.
- Stays current with evolving product practices and development methodologies and learns new skills as needed.
- Play a proactive role in product planning and design to ensure the investments align with strategic direction and customer needs
- Participate in the entire lifecycle of the product, working closely with leadership teams across the company
- Build very strong cross-functional partnerships at multiple levels within the company, including with engineering, marketing, sales, support and services.
- Consider alternative solutions to functional and non-functional problems, along with other technical and product managers
Qualifications - BE/Btech or MBA, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of previous product management or equivalent experience
- Experience in Enterprise SaaS offerings, particularly in delivering resilient, scalable and highly available solutions
- Strong technical acumen – ability to work closely with development teams on a range of technically challenging problems, including service oriented architecture
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational levels to drive to results
- Ability to learn and manage multiple concurrent projects that cross functional boundaries and organizational levels to completion.
