Job description
- It s an exciting time to be part of IFF India PIA Lab
- As Chemist II, PIA Lab, you will be responsible to perform the analytical evaluation of raw material, intermediate and finished products, making pass / fail decision
- Makes risk analysis and usage decision of non-conformances
- Provides technical assistance for internal and external customers
- Generates analytical documentation
- You will be reporting to the Manager PIA
About You:
To be successful in this role, you must have 3-5 Years applying analytical skills in food/flavor/pharma or fragrance industry. Degree in Chemistry, Biology or equivalent preferred. Knowledge in Chemical safety and safe laboratory practices. Experience in the field of GCMS, LCMS and/or ICPMS equipment.
You will spend your time
- In performing Quality testing.
- Conduct Quality Improvement.
- Act as a business partner for stakeholders and implementing of Best Practices
- Understanding of project people and Management knowledge
- Have a deep understanding of supply chain management flow.
- Decision-making based on the test results; Performs checks and controls to assess validity of results.
- Has some latitude when it comes to making decisions on assigned projects.
- Actively provides feedback to colleagues. Is open to discussion & proactively recommends improvements.
- Will be collaborating with Direct Manager, Quality technicians / analysts, Global Quality, Vendor Quality and R&D.
Required Skills:
- Good Communication skills
- Solid knowledge & Experience in Quality Control with a total understanding of analytical chemistry.
- Mature ability to maintain GCMS, LCMS & ICPMS equipment, including preventive maintenance ensuring trouble-free operation and competence.
- SAP advanced knowledge QM module Quality
- Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, regulatory affairs and critical control points
- Familiar with allergens and contaminants declaration process

Required Experience:
Should have experience of 3-5 Years applying analytical skills in food/flavor/pharma or fragrance industry.
