Purpose of the position
To execute, monitor of Construction activities for new infrastructure facilities to enhance the capacities, improvement, and maintenance of all civil structures / facilities with respect to SQDCME parameters.

Key Responsibilities:
1New Infrastructure Execution:-
1. Study of the infrastructure details & logistics requirements of the new project based on factory layout & equipment planning by the Planning department.
2. Working out the budget requirements/timelines and alternatives.
3. Working of preliminary infrastructure budget plan based on inputs from the planning team for necessary approvals.
4. Monitoring of execution of work for all stages of work from scratch to handover for SQDCME parameters.
5. Computing the resources required for the Construction works along with the contractor & monitoring the same.
6. Finalize broad timelines for major sub phases and review progress against the planned schedules on a weekly basis along with CPED & planning teams.
7. Monitor and control the project activities within the budgeted cost, quality and time schedule by realignment of various resources from time to time.

2Vendor Finalization:-
Coordinate with vendors post PO release to understand their resource mobilization & execution plan

3Material Procurement:-
1. Computation of material requirements based on the approved designs & drawings.
2. Ensuring material consumption entry in monthly billing.
3. Inspection of bulk/critical deliveries in order to ensure adherence to technical specifications and implementing cross checking standards.
4. Verify the physical stock at the contractor site to control wastage within limits and regulate future procurement on a monthly basis.
5. Monitor the mode of transportation to different sites within the plant premises in order to ensure adherence to safety standards.

4Capacity Enhancement in existing shops:-
1. Provide inputs/suggestions for the drawing issued after Carrying out the feasibility study at site based on the drawing issued.
2.Study the constraints to regular production at the time of execution and suggest corrective actions to remove bottlenecks prior to execution
3. Study of detail design / execution drawings post review and release for execution Modify/suggest improvements(if any) prior to approval
4. Supervision of the execution activities within the budgeted cost, quality and time schedule on a daily basis (morning meetings)

5Structural/Civil Maintenance
1. Finalize the estimates for the contracts raised for maintenance activities by the Contract Cell prior to execution
2. Supervise the execution of all civil maintenance activities related to existing infrastructure on a regular basis
3. Monitor the expenses for civil maintenance activities and ensure adherence to available budgets
4. Approve payments to vendors post execution of maintenance activities
6. Study of basic infrastructure (roads, supply & drainage systems etc.) and maintenance work status on requirement basis

6Other Functions:-
1. Member of WAH BBT.
2. Documentation for OSHAS, Safety compliance.
3. Assist the internal stakeholders for cost/time optimization for new infrastructure creation at the planning stage.
