Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cybersecurity and Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our organization s digital assets by implementing robust cybersecurity measures and conducting thorough VAPT assessments. You will collaborate with various teams to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and ensure the integrity of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across networks, systems, and applications.
- Leverage industry-standard tools and techniques to exploit vulnerabilities and identify exploitable weaknesses.
- Analyze findings, prioritize risks, and recommend effective remediation strategies aligned with business needs.
- Develop and execute test plans based on specific security requirements and objectives.
- Document findings, prepare comprehensive reports, and present results to stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of evolving cyber threats, trends, and best practices in vulnerability management and penetration testing.
- Collaborate with internal teams (IT, DevSecOps) to implement and improve security controls.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the security posture of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on VAPT.
- Strong understanding of penetration testing methodologies, frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK), and tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative spirit and a strong desire to learn and grow within the cybersecurity field.
Bonus points for:
- Experience in specific industry verticals relevant to our organization.
- Certifications in penetration testing (e.g., OSCP, CEH, eCPPT).
- Experience with cloud security and containerized environments.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Exposure to Tools:
- Vulnerability Scanners (Nessus, Qualys, etc.)
- Penetration Testing Tools (Burp Suite, Metasploit, Kali Linux, etc.)
- Scripting Languages (Python, Bash)
- Network Analysis Tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Cloud Security Tools (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, etc.)
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on VAPT.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving security threats.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
