About the Team:
The foundation models vision team in Flipkart is focussed on working on building India, e-commerce specific foundational vision language models for various generative AI applications across Flipkart such as conversational chatbots, search, catalog, ads/marketing content, etc. At Flipkart, the work of a Data Scientist involves collaboration with the engineering and product teams to ensure a holistic outcome at the product delivery. The flat functional structure within Flipkart engineering enables data scientists to focus on excellence and create a deep sense of ownership at every stage of work. If you aspire to redefine ‘state-of-the-art’ and create an impact on India’s online shopping landscape, Flipkart’s Data Science team can offer you the right podium to solve challenging real-world problems and take a giant leap in your career as a Data Scientist You are responsible for: We are looking for a senior IC candidate and some of the techniques that you will be working on include: Customising vision language models such as Clip, OpenClip, Stable diffusion, VLiT for e-commerce for tasks such as image editing, image generation and QnA. Multimodal models (Multimodal QnA, embeddings, prompt-based generation, etc.) Core computer vision models for object detection and image segmentation, Image Processing functional blocks for preprocessing, Image quality assessment techniques, Hands-on with standard architectures like Vision Transformers, EfficientNet etc Experience in handling big data in order of Billions, efficient training of models. CPU-GPU load balancing, quantization aware training etc and proficiency in at least one of the ML libraries Tensorflow, PyTorch etc. Experience in ML model life cycle management Education Qualifications: M.tech or PHD with min 12 years of experience as Data scientist.
