Job description
Purpose
To support implementation of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services for the client assets at multiple locations across the globe. NDT services cover training, inspection as well as technical consulting. These services are to be in line with Oceaneering and Client’s documentary requirements and onshore / offshore legislation(s) where applicable.
Functions
ESSENTIAL
§ Reviewing Computed Radiography (CR) images to ensure they meet quality standards and adequately capture the area of interest.
§ Identifying and interpreting indications or defects on CR images, such as cracks, voids, inclusions, corrosion, or discontinuities.
§ Analyzing CR images to determine the nature, severity, and significance of detected defects in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
§ Documenting findings accurately, including defect location, size, orientation, and any relevant contextual information.
§ Generating detailed inspection reports summarizing findings, interpretations, and recommendations for further action.
§ Communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders, such as clients, engineers, or supervisors, to convey inspection results and discuss any follow-up actions required.
§ Ensuring adherence to quality assurance procedures and protocols throughout the interpretation process to maintain consistency and reliability.
§ Staying updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to CR imaging and interpretation.
§ Collaborating with other members of the inspection team, including radiographers, technicians, and engineers, to optimize inspection workflows and outcomes.
§ Carry out site audits where required and ensure projects are completed to detail in a professional manner.
§ Ensure that non-conformances are being recorded and reported to the operations manager.
§ Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering Inspection operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements.
§ Interpret codes, standards & contractual documents that control the NDT method used.
NON-ESSENTIAL
§ The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
§ Assist with any other duties as and when required.
§ Undertake specific projects as instructed by management.

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities
§ This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship
Qualifications
§ Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline in a relevant subject (e.g., Mechanical or allied, Corrosion, Materials, Metallurgy Engineering)
§ Shall be ISO9712 level 2 or equivalent qualification in Radiography Testing.
§ Experience with GE Rhythm software preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
§ Minimum 5 years of NDT experience encompassing practical experience in NDT Methods including RT, PT, MT and UT.
§ Proven experience in radiography film interpretation, preferably in Oil & gas, construction, or NDT environment.
§ Proficiency in interpreting radiographic images using various techniques, including manual and computer-assisted methods.
§ Strong understanding of radiographic testing principles, standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME), and specifications relevant to the industry sector.
§ Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to accurately identify and classify defects.
§ Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings, recommendations, and technical information to diverse audiences.
§ Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
§ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
§ Good ability to develop relationships with client and/or contractor personnel at various levels of seniority and from diverse cultures.
Working Conditions
This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
§ Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
§ Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace
§ Work surface is stable (flat)
§ Travel upto 20% of the time
