Department / Role Overview:
The Amherst Merchant Banking business unit oversees investment management activities for Amherst, including the raising of new debt and equity capital, the formation of new ventures, the strategic acquisition and disposition of homes and the management and operation of Amherst's portfolio investments. The Amherst Merchant Banking division is seeking to expand it's global footprint in Mumbai, India, with a goal of establishing a team of professionals working across multi-disciplinary functional areas in close collaboration with
U.S.-based personnel.
The role is within Amherst's Merchant Banking Division in the Asset Liability Management ('ALM') group. ALM is seeking a strong VP/Senior Associate to join our team to assist in ensuring the required data, documentation and lender tapes for our development warehouse and joint venture ('JV') debt facilities are accurate. Effective manager who can manage and lead a Mumbai based team of 3-4 Analysts/Associates. Monitor and track the performance of all debt facilities against the covenants and other limits/thresholds. The VP needs to work and coordinate closely with the US team and escalate any breaches or issues.
