Purpose of the Role:

Manager in Product Engineering will provide Leadership for multiple roles like Engineers, Testers & Techno functional consultants within Product Engineering. The position often entails coordinating and collaborating with different Chapters & other product units within Tietoevry Banking to deliver a seamlessly integrated solution to our customers. The successful candidate must have deep business experience, with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to facilitate complex issue resolution across multiple products and business groups. The individual must possess strong consultative, listening, communications and analytical skills, be a problem solver with excellent judgment and strong initiative.

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability leading and developing Engineers at multiple levels
  • Proven experience leading cross geography teams.
  • Robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills coupled with a growth mentality and a desire to collaborate effectively with key business and technology partners across the company
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment and to deal well with ambiguity
  • Experience working in an Agile software development framework

The Value this role Delivers

  • Lead a team of 25 – 35 Engineers
  • Help champion and drive way of working to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Collaborate with Chapter Leads & other Engineering managers to ensure that our Squads are sufficiently staffed.
  • Work with Tribe Leaders & Squad leads and support them in the Release planning process
  • Ability to learn quickly, be flexible, adapt and strive to excel in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Ability to be highly organized, very responsive, and committed to quality and high standards

  • You have great communication and influencing skills and can foster a fun, collaborative and energetic environment
  • Have a background in Java based Software development.
