Role Objective

To support HNI Banking with Quality analysis of credit applications for Home Loans and Loan Against Property. Annual reviews/periodical performance statements to ensure that the Quality of Assets remain pristine and generally to undertake such other work as are necessary to optimize revenues for the bank, while ensuring compliance with regulatory as well as internal guidelines

Role and Responsibilities

• Own the entire credit- function from end to end for Home Loans and Loan Against Property.
• Prepare policy parameters and process for launching consumer loan products with specific focus on credit function. Develop formats, define credit criteria, and formulate process for internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare credit applications in the prescribed format along with spread sheet and other details required for submission to the appropriate authorities.
• Review & evaluate all the Retail credit proposals (originating from India/overseas) and recommend as per Banks policy for approval by the appropriate authorities.
• Ensure completeness of Retail credit documentation in accordance with approved terms and conditions.
• Evaluate and approve pre-sanction and post sanction parameters as per defined credit norms and as per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor borrower's compliance with credit terms on an ongoing basis; identify and advise early warning signals, conduct periodic valuation of collateral and monitoring timely repayments.
• Conduct periodic reviews/monitoring of the Retail Portfolio to maintain credit quality and advise initiating remedial action for the assets showing signs of weakness/delinquencies.
• Maintain appropriate records for ensuring completion of Annual reviews in a timely manner.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews of accounts and put it up to Head of Consumer Banking for final disposal.
• Ensure submission of various risk and other reports on a timely basis at agreed frequency.
• Responding to queries raised by HO on various accounts.
• Assisting RBI/HO/statutory Auditors in smooth conduct of audit.
• Liaise with the customers at regular intervals and get necessary industry as well as company updates to provide Head of HNI Banking with information that may be crucial to decide on the future course of action regarding the portfolio of the account.
• Interact regularly with other officers of the branch to be well informed of the activities in the account and alert Head of HNI Banking in case of any concern.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

• University degree or Post Graduation
• Professional qualification in Banking Management/Law/Risk or ACA/ICWA would be an added advantage.
• 10 years broad-based experience in Banking with 7 years in credit risk area in the Home Loan segment; Ability to communicate effectively.
• Good interpersonal skills, communication skills both written and oral and a pleasing personality.
