Job description
We are on the lookout for an accomplished Senior Python Backend Developer to propel our web application and technological infrastructure to new heights. With a role critical to our team, you will utilize your profound Python expertise and substantial experience in constructing microservices, aiming to devise and actualize sturdy, scalable, and efficient backend solutions for our SaaS platform. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding our system architecture, ensuring it is equipped to manage high traffic volumes and deliver fault-tolerant services that align with our complex business needs.
Responsibilities : Architect and develop sophisticated backend solutions and microservices using Python, guaranteeing system scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance. Lead the architectural blueprint of our SaaS application, working in tandem with other teams to blend business logic and user requirements into coherent, well-organized systems. Advocate for best practices in coding and system design, establishing benchmarks for code quality, maintainability, and performance. Conduct detailed code reviews, offering constructive critique to team members, nurturing an environment of excellence and ongoing enhancement. Proactively pinpoint system bottlenecks and scalability challenges, devising and executing robust solutions to improve system resilience and performance. Mentor junior developers and advise on system architecture and design principles, cultivating a robust technical culture within the team. Spearhead the integration of new technologies and methodologies to refine our development processes and product excellence. Ready, willing, and able to pick up new technologies and pitch in on story tasks (design, code, test, CI/CD, deploy, etc.) Qualifications : Demonstrated mastery in Python programming and the construction of micro services Extensive experience (7 - 10 years) in system architecture and design, particularly within SaaS applications, with a proven track record in engineering scalable, high-performance backend systems. Experience with Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI. (FastAPI preferred) Experience with ORMs like SQLAlchemy or Django Experience with SQL and databases (Postgres preferred) Experience in developing large server side applications and micro services Experience with python testing tools (pytest) and test automation Strong sense of ownership and leadership quality Profound understanding of industry best practices in software development and coding, with a focus on Python and backend technologies. Proficiency in managing high traffic systems, with expertise in crafting solutions for scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance. Adept at code review processes, capable of delivering insightful, constructive feedback to peers. Ability to lead design discussions and mentor team members in embracing architectural best practices and innovative technical solutions.
