Title: Pre-Sales Engineer/Consultant - IT Infrastructure Solutions
Job Overview As a Pre-Sales Engineer/Consultant specializing in IT Infrastructure, including CCTV Surveillance, Fiber & Copper Cabling, LAN Cabling, Network Infrastructure, and Security Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in understanding client requirements, designing comprehensive solutions, and supporting the sales process for a wide range of technology and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities - Client Needs Analysis:
- Collaborate with the sales team to conduct in-depth assessments of client requirements related to IT infrastructure, including CCTV Surveillance, cabling, and network security.
- Engage with clients to understand their business objectives and technology needs.
- Solution Design:
- Design integrated solutions that encompass CCTV Surveillance, Fiber & Copper Cabling, LAN Cabling, Network Infrastructure, Firewalls, Cisco Routers & Switches, and Wi-Fi configurations.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with industry standards and best practices.
- Technical Proposal Development:
- Work closely with the sales team to develop comprehensive and tailored technical proposals.
- Provide detailed documentation on the recommended infrastructure solutions, including equipment lists, configurations, and implementation plans.
- Product Knowledge and Demonstration:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and advancements in IT infrastructure.
- Conduct product demonstrations and proof of concepts to showcase the capabilities of proposed solutions.
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors to stay informed about new products, technologies, and industry developments.
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms for procurement.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, including NEC Code, local codes, EIA/TIA/BICSI Standards, and other site, local, and federal guidelines.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and incorporate them into solution designs.
- Networking and Security Configuration:
- Possess L2 level knowledge of routing/switching and firewall configuration and operation.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Project Management:
- Provide support to project management teams during the implementation phase.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in pre-sales or technical consulting, specifically in IT infrastructure solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of CCTV Surveillance, Fiber & Copper Cabling, LAN Cabling, Network Infrastructure, Firewalls, Cisco Routers & Switches, and Wi-Fi technologies.
Skills - Strong technical proficiency in IT infrastructure components and solutions.
