Collaborate within a team of engineers and designers to execute detailed engineering tasks, ensuring adherence to tender specifications/data sheets, while also providing essential technical procurement support within allocated man-hours and project schedules.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the review of the ITB (Invitation To Bid) documents submitted in the proposals stage, issue inquiry requisitions, review techno-commercial vendor offers, prepare Technical Bid evaluation report (TBE), prepare equipment, material and man-hour estimates for both Proposal Engineering and Detail Engineering.
- Prepare the Technical Document Register (TDR), and identify requirements and scope of work, review specifications, mechanical data sheets, review design criteria and philosophies and other relevant documents.
- Establish contract review criteria, identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal through the instigation of technical queries to projects/client.
- Perform all Mechanical- Static equipment engineering activities within the project.
- Prepare Mechanical-Static equipment specifications, data sheets and requisition in accordance with the project requirements.
- Prepare Mechanical –Static equipment selection based on process design requirement.
- Performing vendor data review and incorporation and assisting clients for the Mechanical –Static equipment installation and commissioning activities at site.
- Prepare technical bid evaluation in accordance with the Company requirements.
- Carry out appropriate discipline and inter discipline checks and reviews of engineering and design work.
- Ensure the quality of technical work and the technical integrity, constructability, functionality, safe operation and reliability of designs.
- Prepare, check, and ensure all Mechanical –Static equipment engineering deliverables.
- Monitor man-hour costs and team schedules. Recommend cost effective measures to reduce the overall package costs.
- Prepare Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of equipment and materials. Ensure materials are obtained within scheduled timeframes and budgeted costs.
- Check design calculations performed by other engineers.
- Assist in recruitment activities as and when required.
- Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7-15 years of relevant work experience (Should have mandate Experience in Oil and Gas)
- Exposure to EPC environments.
- Knowledge of Mechanical –Static Equipment (Pressure vessels, Filters, Tanks, Columns, Reactors, Heat Exchangers, Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers etc.) and Static Packages (Thermal Oxidisers, Flare Systems, Fired Heaters, TEG Packages etc.)
- Familiar with international design codes (API, ASME, TEMA, NFPA, ISO, Shell DEP, Saudi Aramco Standards, etc.,), industrial standards and local codes.
- Knowledge in detailed Engineering projects.
- Proficient in using PV-Elite, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Naviswork Freedom.
- Good knowledge of international equipment costs
- Good knowledge of Safety and Quality Procedures.
