Purpose of the role

As a Junior Accountant, you will perform accounts receivable and accounts payable functions under the supervision of a Senior Accountant. He/she will also assist in the preparation of financial reports, reconcile ledgers, post month-end actual and accrual entries.

• Post journal entries for accrued expenses, depreciation, amortization and other month-end closing entries
• AR / AP posting and updating financial statements
• Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers
• Prepare local compliance reports as per the requirement
• Customer / Vendor / Bank reconciliation
• Assist in completing audit extractions, generate reports of financial information
• Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L accounts reconciliation, consolidation & and analysis
• Assist to prepare and consolidate budget and forecast analysis reports.
• Assist in preparing the statement of cash flows at the end of each accounting period.
• System management : Maintenance of the accounting system to make sure compliance with company polices and accounting standards.
• Respond to internal and external queries or requests and provide details as required
• Periodically review Data Protection regulations to ensure compliance across the organization
• Identify any areas of concern or opportunities

Skills, knowledge, experience and exposure

• 1-3 years of relevant accountant experience, preferably in an MNC with Intercompany transaction experience
• Should be a graduate in Business / Accounting / Commerce degree, with majors in accounting or finance desirable
• Experienced in dealing with intercompany transactions is preferable
• Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel
• Quickly understands business issues, data challenges, and reporting/workforce analytical needs.
• Experience in managing high volume workload in a changing environment

Role Requirements

• Hybrid in Malad Mumbai
• Desirable to be able to work AU hours 9 am to 6 pm (AEST)
