Role: Associate Manager/ Manager - Credit Partnerships
About the Role
At Juspay, the Hyper Credit Platform team builds products that make purchases affordable and/or help customers seek credit to better finance outcomes, whether for consumers completing a transaction, or for suppliers and distributors working with a brand / manufacturer or an e-commerce marketplace.
The Credit Partnerships Manager takes end to end ownership for supporting the business & growth team, juggling between aligning the right lending partners for customers coming from different categories of merchants, building sufficient supply side capacities to drive the growth engine, commercial negotiation & closure with partners, relationship maintaining, supporting in lender audit and other internal audit requirements, pertaining to the lending stack to adhere to the regulatory guidelines, managing operations and co-ordinating with the product team to optimize the customer journey with our lenders and enhancing the same continuously. You feel deeply about the India credit opportunity and are passionate about building the rails, and the engine both at once. You are analytical and derive actionable insights from partner and customer conversations. You are then able to convert these insights into product and product ideas and drive our relationship deeper into our lenders' ecosystems.
Roles Responsibilities
- The person will be leading and handling relationships on the product, operational front with financial institutions like Banks, NBFCs, Fintechs on the lending side
- The person will work closely with internal stakeholders including Product and Engineering to drive lender integrations, product developments and integration enhancement
- Managing lending partners on a day to day basis, engage with their risk & business team to expand the business across merchant categories
- Handling operational & audit requirements from lending partners on a regular basis, supporting in adherence on regulatory guidelines
- Prepare decks, product documents, technical and commercial proposals to onboard new lenders and build relevant projections
- Eke out the best possible commercials for JUSPAY from the lending partners and drive the vision of JUSPAY's solution to the lending partners for continuous enhancements in commercials
- Work with legal team to structure contracts that are win-win for the lender and Juspay
What We Are Looking For
- 4-8 years of lending partnership experience with big lenders, representing Payment Gateways / Lending Fintechs
- MBA or Entrepreneur, preferably with a technical background (Can be overlooked if experienced in the profile and good at problem solving)
- Understanding of Lending infrastructure products - like Loan origination systems, Loan management systems, Business rule engine, Credit appraisal and operations
- Strong problem solving and analytical ability
- Deep understanding of how the consumer lending works and P&L for lenders for such business to eke out the best possible commercials for JUSPAY from the lending partners
- Experience in working with product teams (Internal & external) to drive enhancements in integration to provide the best experience to the merchant & customers coming from such merchants
- Ability to negotiate with lenders to drive business & product milestones
