Job description

Understanding project specifications and developing time schedules and budgets that meet them. Negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure the best prices. Observing existing processes, analyzing staff performance, and addressing deficiencies accordingly. Monitoring and tracking project progress, and writing up reports. Attending and scheduling meetings as required. Delegating tasks and ensuring workers receive feedback. Understanding and meeting all contract requirements. Communicating with managers, supervisors, and the rest of the team. Analyzing technical drawings and providing material and cost estimates. Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budgets. He/She is responsible for the purchasing of goods and services for a company. They are in charge of finding the most cost-effective and reliable sources of supply, negotiating the best terms and conditions, and managing the purchasing process from start to finish. This involves creating plans and procedures for purchasing that take into account the company’s needs and budget constraints. They are responsible for finding and vetting suppliers, which may involve conducting market research, attending trade shows and negotiating contracts. To maintain good relationships with suppliers, resolving any issues that arise, and ensuring that suppliers meet their contractual obligations. He/she will often negotiate contracts with suppliers, which involves bargaining for the best prices and terms. Managing Inventory – It involves keeping track of the company’s inventory ensuring that there is enough stock to meet demand, and ordering more supplies when necessary. He/she must conduct cost analysis to determine the most cost-effective suppliers and products. To make sure that all procurement activities comply with the company’s policies and procedures, as well as any relevant laws and regulations. To research and implement new procurement software or systems to improve efficiency and accuracy. He/she is responsible for identifying and managing risks associated with procurement, such as supplier failures or changes in marker conditions. Evaluate vendor bids and recommend best options. Analyze market trends and recommend appropriate strategies. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices and other documents Develop and manage procurement budget. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to identify purchasing needs. Ensure timely delivery of products and services. Monitor supplier performance and relationships.
