Job Description Job Title : Senior Analyst - DB Operations The Purpose of This Role Defined Benefits - Calculations team supports our business partners in the US in servicing corporate / institutional customers in pension benefits administration vertical. Team is involved to work with multiple stakeholders (CSM/ODL, Operations team, Technology team) across the define benefits group to capture, validate and deliver the pension data to our client/actuaries. This is done through a series of processes, both technical and non-technical, that helps our clients to use data for benefits funding.
The Value You Deliver - Pension calculation based on customer request received through Customer Service Group or online request
- Process various types of pension benefit requests like estimates, termination benefits and final benefits.
- Identifying the calculation related system issues and fixing the same within the defined timeliness and accuracy standards
- Provide support to internal client focusing teams (Issue Resolution, Audit & Control, Client Service Manager's etc.)
- Work closely with upstream and downstream processes for the overall service to the end client / participant
- Updating of plan specific procedures, training back up associates and recommending continuous improvements in workflow efficiency
The Skills That Are Key To This Role - Calculation experience, preferably in back-office operations (calculation or U.S. retirement industry will be an added advantage)
- Ability to meet timeliness is crucial for this role
- Willingness to work in multiple shift (Day/Mid-day/Night)
- Good understanding of process and partner management
- Strong and effective communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to balance customer service with sound business judgment
- Ability to embrace change
- Able to work within a team environment and support common goals and build synergy within the team & associate.
- Understanding the roadblocks to resolve the problems for clients, projects, and processes
- Strong attention to detail and independent judgment.
How Your Work Impacts The Organization Defined Benefits, Health & Welfare Operations and Implementations group supports our business partners in the US in servicing corporate / institutional customers in benefits administration vertical. This involves moving the customers to the Fidelity platform and supporting their ongoing record-keeping needs. This is done through a series of processes, both technical and non-technical, that helps a customer to use our products and services. The Defined Benefits arm of Fidelity provides administration services to many organizations in the US. This service offering is a part of Fidelity's total benefit outsourcing business
The Expertise We're Looking For - Bachelor's Degree (Mathematics, Finance or Business) or equivalent is required
- 7+ years of overall years of experience in financial/Operations sector
- Knowledge on US Pension plans and/or actuarial work is added advantage
Location : Chennai Shift timings : 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm
